A Cupcake Post
As I mentioned briefly in my last post, I’ve got a little girly with an upcoming birthday. We’re keeping things simple this year and packing along some cuppy cakes to take with us on our annual visit to the corn maze. It’s great fun and we go every year with our friends and their kids. Pretty handy to have us all together with lots of fun for the kids, so we may as well bring the cupcakes and make it a party!
I love this post from Our Best Bites with loads of tips for frosting a cupcake. And since we’ll be at a farm (with actual farm animals!) I think some little party animals (from Oh Happy Day) might be in order…cupcake toppers perhaps?
Have you seen this method for packaging individual cupcakes? So very clever and will certainly help to keep the cupcakes looking their best on their way to the farm! (the ones below are from Lisa Storms who makes lots of really cool things)
I’m really looking forward to not having a big party and just able to focus on having fun with our special birthday girl and some friends! And I love that just adding cupcakes can turn any gathering into an instant celebration! Need a little joy? Just add cupcakes!
Party animals…too cute! So, which style of frosting are you going to use? We are getting close to the weekend!
Ack! I know! Actually I don’t think I’m going to use any of those since I’m hoping to add a topper and I don’t want one element overwhelming the other. BUT, if the topper doesn’t work out I think I’ll go for rounded tip. For some reason I think I like the gloopy, more casual look, LOL! Thanks for stopping by, Gina!
